1. Proverbs 3:5-6 – Children this age begin questions the whys and hows behind the truths they’ve been taught. We can give them external evidences that the Bible is true, but they need to trust in God. They need faith. Without faith, the external evidence means nothing. With faith, they can lean on the Lord, recognizing His sovereignty.

   2. Isaiah 9:6 – Isaiah wrote these words about the coming Messiah approximately 7 centuries before Christ was born in Bethlehem. Because of God’s love and grace, He designed a plan of redemption for sinful humanity.

3. Isaiah 44:6 – A verse reminding kids to respect the awesomeness and authority of God. God is all-powerful. No other god is like Him. He’s the beginning and the end.

4. John 1:14 – The Lord Jesus Christ is the personification of grace and truth. We can’t separate grace and truth from His character. His act of grace (dying for us) is the greatest sacrifice someone could make for a friend. (See also John 15:13)

5. Romans 12:1-2 – As children begin to understand God’s grace, they should also understand their responsibility to reach out to others with grace. Here Paul writes that we’re to give our very selves to the service of God.

6. 1 Corinthians 10:13 – Peer pressure is all around. Children this age like to be liked and they have a tendency to follow what others are doing. Kids need to be confident in saying no when pressured to make wrong choices, but they also need to learn the importance of treating others with graciousness (rather than argumentatively or judgmentally).

7. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Because of God’s grace, we’re offered new live in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our responsibility is to share that message with others, not only by our words, but also by our behavior.

8. Philippians 2:9-10 – A good reminder of the awesomeness and authority of God.

9. Ephesians 2:4-5 – God has so much love. He looks on us poor, struggling sinners and shows us mercy. Because of His grace, He saved us. Because of His grace, we have the ability to help others.

10. Titus 2:11-12 – We’re saved by grace, and grace is our teacher. Because of God’s grace, we have knowledge and ability to live our daily lives according to His will.
