Awana Reaching 35,000-Plus Children in Nepal: Christian Post
God is doing amazing work in Nepal – especially among children. The Awana ministry in Nepal is one of the fastest-growing national ministries among the 96 countries where Awana operates internationally. In only 11 years, it has expanded from nine clubs to 1,193, reaching 35,738 children. This includes a new club in the Balkhu slums of Katmandu, the nation’s capital.
“This is very novel for them,” said Awana President/CEO Jack Eggar, “because in most countries children’s ministries aren’t emphasized. But he noted the enthusiasm is huge. “The message is simple: Do you want your church to grow? Then you can’t keep neglecting your children.”
