As a pastor for more than 20 years I can attest to the fact that Awana is a sharp and effective evangelism and discipleship tool in a pastor’s hand. As the President/CEO of Awana, I want to affirm the commitment of Awana to support you in your heavenly mandate to spiritually impact your community with the gospel.

Experience has shown me that any church courageous enough to operate an Awana club correctly will see many children and adults come to know Jesus Christ. More and more churches are catching the vision and asking Awana to come alongside them in order to transform their communities.

Our prayer
Serving pastors like yourself in an effort to reach the children and families of your community with the gospel of Christ is why Awana exists. It is our prayer that one day all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

At Awana headquarters we have recently rededicated ourselves to the truths that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and that Awana is a servant to that wonderful institution.

Our vision
It is our vision to strategically partner with you in a global effort to ensure the opportunity for all children and youth to be evangelized and discipled in Christ. Simply put, we want to make every effort to support you. This means that rather than telling you what to do or what not to do, we at Awana are committed to learning how to tune in and see how we can help each individual pastor and church family fulfill God’s unique mission. We accomplish this through faith-supported Awana missionaries and volunteer ministry team members.

Our values
We will glorify God and serve the body of Christ by committing ourselves to six core values. We also are pursuing key strategic objectives based on our prayer, mission and vision.

Our role
As a ministry servant, we view our role as more than program providers. We are fully willing to invest our people and resources to ensure that your church will accomplish the vision that God has called you to. In the process, we are committed to you first and foremost as God’s unique servant and leader in your church and community.

Awana exists to serve you
In recent years, it has become evident that a number of parachurch organizations work entirely outside the local church, providing little benefit either directly or indirectly. This is not the case with Awana.

Our success as a ministry is predicated entirely on the success of the churches we serve. God desires the church to be dynamic and full of passion for the lost, and we will do everything we can to help you spread the gospel and train up strong disciples in your church.

I believe that together we can greatly impact the world for Jesus Christ today.
