Welcome to the Leader Resource Page for T&T
A leader wrote in to tell us how he uses KidsPrint in his club. Clubbers are not only encouraged to read KidsPrint (and he says they look forward to it), but he also encourages parents to read it. Clubbers who bring the KidsPrint back to club with a parent's signature (signifying that they've read it) receive extra points, shares or a small prize.
Improved T&T Handbooks Are Getting Rave Reviews! We Get Letters ... and Tracts and Games Here's what Sienna from Garden Grove, California had to say about her leader: In first grade I realized I wanted to be a leader for others. You have shown me how to be a helpful and fun leader. I hope that when I am old enough, that I can make other kids as happy and comfortable as you have made me. You are a good role model. My family is grateful that you have made this year so special for me. |
Updated Book Three Coming for 2008-09 Club Year! Exciting New T&T Products
One is a new Ultimate Adventure Large Group Lesson Book. However, this book is slightly different from the two large-group lesson books for Books 1 & 2. The lessons do not follow the book, section by section, but center in on sections that lend themselves to more explanation. Because clubbers cannot be in Book Three until they are in fifth grade, we have also used some bigger, age-appropriate words to explain the concepts. Do you have a timely tip that you think other T&T leaders could use? Please send it to us. It could end up on this Web page so other leaders can benefit from your idea. Are your clubbers done with their handbooks and the Silver and Gold extra credit? Did you know there are certificates and pins available for those who can repeat all 32 questions and answers in one sitting? Wait a minute, maybe your clubber can do two handbooks at once or even three or four? Certificates are available for all these fantastic feats! Check them out on page 81 of the 2007-08 Minsitry Catalog. And yes, we do KNOW of clubbers who have done all 128 answers and backup-verses in ONE sitting? Happy Fall! Yes, some Awana clubs are already just a week or two from beginning their fall program. Maybe your club is one of them. One club purchased a complete set of end-of-the-year-awards and had them on hand. Whenever a clubber finished a book, the director would take a picture of the clubber and the earned award. Then the picture would go on the bulletin board and the award would go back in the storage area. The real award would then be given on Awards Night - but the picture not only was instant gratification for the book-finishing kids, but a good motivation for other clubbers.
