Headquarters
Located in Streamwood, Illinois, our administrative center serves the needs of the field ministries with a staff of more than 250 people. 

24-7 Ministry Development Specialist
We are currently seeking candidates for a Ministry Development Specialist for our 24-7 Ministries Team. The 24-7 Ministry Development Specialist collaborates on strategies, coordinates ministries, builds relationships and helps churches utilize ministries to address students’ lives. This individual is responsible for ensuring the health of partnerships, developing and overseeing the implementation of the Awana Connection and Dimensions Ministries strategies and promoting healthy discipleship and understanding of students and ministries.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in youth ministries, business, or a similar field; or two years related experience/training. This position requires strong organization skills and the ability to clearly communicate with ministry representatives, missionaries, employees and customers, both verbally and in writing.

Instructional Designer
We are currently seeking candidates for an Instructional Designer. The successful candidate will work on our in-house team to develop and write state-of- the-art training materials that will be used to conduct training workshops and conferences for church leadership teams. The Instructional Designer researches various training methods, develops appropriate training materials and supports new and existing programs.

We require a bachelor’s degree and/or five years related experience in developing and delivering cutting edge, creative, adult training curriculum, including e-learning initiatives. Distance learning, web or online based training experience required.

Training Department Assistant
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Department Assistant in our U.S. Training department. The Training Department Assistant provides administrative and project coordination assistance to all division staff members. Duties include composing correspondence, maintaining departmental calendars; organizing and compiling data; managing conference logistics; and preparing training materials.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma, or equivalent, plus prior office experience. Excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills required.

Video Production Assistant/Editor
We are currently seeking candidates for a Video Production Assistant/Editor. The Video Production Assistant/Editor coordinates media productions by managing production schedules, procuring talent and equipment and tracking expenses. The Assistant/Editor also shoots and edits footage and authors DVDs as well as maintains the video footage library. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree plus two to three years related experience including experience with Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Photoshop. Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as the ability to interact with a wide variety of co-workers, internal customers and external suppliers and consultants.

Located in Schaumburg, Illinois, this state-of-the-art facility serves the growing inventory and distribution needs of the ministry. 


U.S. Field Missionaries
As a “sending” body, we have over 70 missionaries in the U.S. serving the local church through the initiation and development of Awana programs. All Awana missionaries are “faith supported” and deputized to raise their own support. U.S. missionaries are responsible for area growth, church relations, volunteer team building and training. These individuals are also required to build and maintain healthy relationships with pastors/churches, volunteers and other ministries. Location of openings varies throughout the U.S.

International Field Ministries
We have 150 missionaries throughout the world serving the local church through the initiation and development of Awana programs.

Awana International Missionary – Military Bases/Europe (Location: Germany or Italy)
The Awana International missionary works with existing Awana clubs at military bases, makes presentations to interested churches, enlarges the existing ministry teams, conducts conferences, events and training in all aspects of the Awana program and manages all military base Awana programs. Travel in Germany, England, Italy, Norway, Belgium and Netherlands will be required of this position.

The position can be filled by an individual or a couple currently located in Europe or willing to relocate to either Germany or Italy. Individual must have a minimum of five years of experience in the U.S. military, must be fluent in English, must fulfill the spiritual requirement of an Awana missionary, and a Bible studies certificate or equivalent from a recognized Bible college/institute and/or seminary is preferred. Retired military are encouraged to apply. EOE.

Global Missionary
A global missionary provides servant support and leadership in a country or region by providing ministry support, administrative support, coaching, mentoring, training and participating in hands on ministry in the country or area in which they are assigned. The global missionary will normally serve for a term of one to three years in the international field.

In 2007, Awana International launched a new model of training for church youth leaders and pastors called “Leader Based Strategy”. The impact has been so significant that a new recruitment thrust is in process to deploy missionaries and support staff from the United States for terms of one to three years. These new positions are faith-based positions, requiring the individual or couple to personally raise the funds needed for their deployment. Opportunities are available in Europe, Indonesia, Kenya, Zambia and other parts of the world.

Qualifications include Bible Studies Certification, or equivalent, from a recognized bible college and/or seminary. Previous Awana experience preferred. Must exhibit the following competencies: leadership, team building, relationship building, training administrating and communicating. Public speaking and effective presentation of the Gospel is required. Ability to respond to inquiries or suggestions from leaders, missionaries and other Awana International staff members is required. Also required is the ability to effectively present information to current and potential ministry team and church leadership.

Qualified candidates must be a born-again child of God with a clear, definite call of the Holy Spirit to Awana ministry. Other requirements include: living a fruit bearing spiritual life; a person of vision, burden, spiritual depth, initiative and faithfulness; a good working knowledge of the Word of God; doctrinal convictions that align with and a member in good standing of a gospel-preaching church. If married, must have a supportive spouse and should also be called to the Awana ministry.

Missionary/Coordinator for United Kingdom
Position requires an individual or couple willing to relocate to the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland) to work with England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Faeroe Islands. Nationals or former nationals from these countries are encouraged to apply. Duties include working with existing Awana clubs, making presentations to interested churches, enlarging the existing ministry team, conducting conferences, events and training in all aspects of the Awana program and running the national office. International Area Directors
The international area directors promote the Awana ministry and develop plans to best evangelize and reach the children and youth of their assigned areas. Duties include participating on the International Ministries leadership team, providing oversight and guidance to area field staff for the assigned area (multiple countries) while developing and implementing related global ministry programs. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree in business and/or ministry development with 10 years experience in a multi-country leadership position. Position assignment in Europe.
