Getting Your Body Fit for Service
Awana offers opportunities to recruit and train adults and teens for lay leadership that will serve your church and the world.

Awana has a proven track record for helping churches recruit and train laypeople as Awana volunteers. Church members who become Awana leaders receive time-commander with kids tested training and personal experience in evangelism and discipleship. Adults who ordinarily don’t serve within your church not only find a ministry home but become mobilized and motivated for lifelong service.

Leadership training is tailored to volunteers based on the club or youth program in which they are serving. Leader-specific training is provided for CubbiesSparksT&TTrek and  Journey.

Awana firmly believes that churches must train their leadership at a young age to remain active and effective from generation to generation. Our programs are designed to equip and prepare your kids for service every week they participate in Awana. The Awana Leader-in-Training program is the next step, helping pre-teens and teenagers develop ministry skills as they assist in younger-age clubs.

The Missionary-in-Training program prepares and sends high-school and college students as well as adults on short-term mission trips that have a long-term impact on the lives of the children they serve. Students and adult leaders likewise grow in their walk with God through their MIT experiences. Participants can work on the mission field in the U.S. or overseas through their church, an Awana regional mission team or our internship program.

Adopt-a-Club is an opportunity for your church body and your Awana clubs to spread the good news of Christ to kids around the world. For a small contribution, Adopt-a-Club sponsors help provide the necessary funds to assist the start-up and growth of clubs. Sponsors are encouraged to prayerfully support an international Awana club and even to correspond with that club. Lives will be changed forever – including those of your congregation.
