Awana Co-Founder Art Rorheim and His Wife, Winnie, Turn 90 Years Young and Celebrate Their 69th Wedding Anniversary

In 1935, a shy 17-year-old Art Rorheim was tapped by Lance Latham to minister to a group of third- and fourth-grade boys at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago. Under Art’s leading, that ministry would grow to impact the life of millions of children and youth worldwide. Today, some 73 years later, Art continues to minister the gospel of Christ to those he comes in contact with.

On May 7, 2008, Art turned 90 years young. We honored Art and Winnie, who turned 90 in March, at a luncheon. Attending the luncheon were staff, missionaries, dignitaries and ministry associates. Enjoy these photos from the special event!
