Growing Awana, One Leader at a Time

Looking back in history, it would seem impossible that 12 average men, trained and discipled by Jesus, would change the world. With Christ’s leadership model to build on, Awana developed a new approach to international ministry, the Leader-Based Strategy. The results have greatly encouraged us.

With 1.8 billion children under the age of 15 in our world today, the challenge before us is daunting. But God has opened many doors with the Leader-Based Strategy. We are moving forward by faith. Partnering with national churches and ministries, we have seen a 27 percent expansion in our international ministry.

With huge steps in India to innovative steps in China, God is at work, turning the hearts of leaders and children toward Him. Both church and ministry partnerships, as well as efforts to help incarcerated fathers in the U.S. fulfill their God-given role in spiritually guiding their children, have all resulted in significant kingdom impact.

Our prayer remains unchanged – that all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
